Design your perfect vintage room

23:00 Cupcake Splendens 0 Comments

I'm so happy that in a couple of days we'll be on holiday and I am sure that you are too !
I will have time to clean my house on Friday and to do a little bit of shopping on Saturday.I have some ideas about what I will cook for Christmas , I have some recipes that I only cook for special occasions .
Looking at my neighbors houses , I realize that I didn't have the time to decorate my house.
Speaking of decorations, I still have to buy some things for my makeup room , like a chandelier , lights and maybe a chaise lounge .
My makeup room certainly has some vintage accents,so I thought that maybe I should give you some ideas if you are planning to have a vintage room.
Browsing online,I stumbled upon some pretty pieces that will make your room more chic.

Plan the perfect birthday surprise

23:15 Cupcake Splendens 0 Comments

After a rainy day full of fog ,it was inevitable that nostalgia kicked in.Am I the only person that thinks about summer and summer holidays when it's rainy and dark outside? I just stare outside with my mind wandering at warmer places . Today I was thinking about my trip to the Canary Islands. This is how it all started:

Early March,I was already thinking about a birthday gift for my half, even if his birthday is at the end of April.I was very indecisive about what should I buy him. Should I buy him a phone ? Should I throw him a birthday party ? Ladies , you know the struggle.
      Looking online,I see an image with a beach.White sand,blue water,blue sky.I tell myself: 'Perfect , that's a win-win!'.
But...where should we go ? What can we visit and what activities can we have ?He's a sporty guy so I know for sure that he's not going to lie on the beach all day .
Next phase: ask some coworkers about their favourite holidays.Thankfully,I have asked the right person and he told me without hesitation: Fuerteventura ! You got the sand, the good weather , the food, snorkeling , aqua parks , buggies , you name it!

And I am so so glad that we went there!Believe me , in 4 days you cannot get enough of that amazing island. It's gorgeous, it's everything I have been told it would be and more!
Websites like holidaygems.co.uk are the best places to book a holiday at a low price,I always book my holiday online.
Have you been on a holiday this year?

Everyday is Christmas - New music from SIA

21:50 Cupcake Splendens 2 Comments

It's that time of the year!
I really hope that you follow me on instagram, if you do you would have seen that yesterday it snowed and on my gosh,it was sooo pretty!I literally stayed for 10 minutes looking out my window and just stared at the big snowflakes.
At the radio whenever I hear a Christmas song it just brings me so much joy!Christmas is almost here.
Did you buy gifts for your loved ones?
Speaking of gifts, I have received  Sia's new Christmas album and it's fantastic.
With 10 new songs recorded ,it was such a lovely surprise to see that Sia recorded her original songs and didn't do covers for Christmas songs, like the majority of the artists.
My favourite song from the album Everyday is Christmas is ' Santa's Coming for us' and it's such a catchy song that you immediately start dancing to the rhythm.

If you love Christmas songs then I would recommend you to buy 'Everyday is Christmas' by Sia and follow her on her social media platforms:

I just looooove subscription boxes.Regardless if it's makeup, food or clothes,I just love it when the mailman brings me a box full of unknown little treats.
That split second of curiosity before opening my package is one of my small pleasures.
This time, I've had the chance to try a pretty unique box, designed by women for women. It's called Empress Mimi.

There are 3 subscription boxes that you can choose from with a price range between 25 and 70 GBP.
Inside my box I have found this gorgeous set of lingerie that fits my body perfectly and while it's so sexy,it's also extremly comfortable.

Such an unique concept can make a perfect Christmas gift! And guess what? You will also have 15% off your first box if you enter the CODE: CUPCAKESPLEND15 at checkout . Enjoy your shopping!

Wine Tasting in Leeds

One week ago I was kindly invited by Louise, The Wine Gang event organiser , to a wine tasting event .
I grabbed my camera and my husband and went to Aspire , a gorgeous historic building located in Leeds City Center . We arrived there around 3 pm , a bit late given the fact that the exhibition started at noon , so unfortunately we missed the masterclasses , but fortunately for us they did not run out of wine. :)
So this is how our relaxing day began : the venue was full.People everywhere , some of them pretty tipsy but very chatty and happy to tell you which stand had the best wines.
As we arrived , we received a pen and a booklet where we could find all the stands and the wines that they were promoting. This was extremely helpful, because there were hundreds of bottles of wine to choose from and you could immediately select your favorite ones from the list.

When it comes to wine , Nick and me are complete opposites. While I adore sweet wines, Nick prefers dry ones , so he had a wider range where to pick from.We had such a lovely time!Cheers!

Create your own logo - Blogger Tips

18:40 Cupcake Splendens 2 Comments

I've never been good at Photoshop , even if I wish I was and believe me , I tried so hard to learn how to do it.
I wanted to have my very own logo and I have searched the market  for a quite a while .
I wanted something without companies charging a ridiculous amount of money , so when I was suggested to try Logojoy.com , I was extremly  excited .

It's so easy to use this website , after answering a couple of questions it automatically generates the logo , it gives you an idea of how it should look like , and you can just change the colors and fonts if you wish to .
I think it's perfect for companies and bloggers, and it also saves you so much time,it can literally take you just 15 mins to make your own logo.
Also , the best thing is that if you buy the premium package you can still make additional changes to your logo up to 24 h after the purchase.

After trying several designs , this was my final pick:

I will use this logo for my business cards, what do you think , do you like it ? :)

hotels,

Travel seriers: Rota D'Imagna Hotel Miramonti

20:43 Cupcake Splendens 0 Comments

Today I miss going on holiday. This year my only true holiday was to Fuerteventura , but that was just  for 3 days so it was very short...too short.
Browsing through my computer I stumbled upon the pictures that me and Nick took one year go , in Italy , where we had the dreamiest vacation ever. 8 locations,16 days.
We landed in Bergamo where we took a couple of buses to arrive to Rota D'imagna.
Google maps was our help and of course, asking people on the street how to get from one point to the other.
Rota D'Imagna is amazing . You quickly get lost into the imposing landscape , there are mountains surrounding chic and clean little villages and you immediately think ' there's no place i'd rather be '.
Our first stay was at  Hotel Miramonti, where we spend our first two days . Our room looked like this:

It's the perfect place to relax. You can rent electric bicycles, electric cars or you can spend your whole day at the SPA.

The food was amazing,we really enjoyed the local cheese, meats and croissants .

What i liked most about this place is the fact that the staff was always there if you needed anything , more than that , if you got lost exploring the surrounding areas the only thing you had to do was ring the reception and someone would come and pick you up . When we left we needed transfer from the hotel to the nearest bus station,so they drove us free of charge . Amazing!
The view from any room just takes your breath away . We had so much fun and cannot wait to go there again . :)
